Chicken and Peppers Sicilian

1/2 lb. Italian link sausage
1 1/2 lb chicken drumsticks
1 1/2 lb chicken thighs
1 Tblsp. vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. dry basil
2 medium onions, sliced
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 medium green peppers, sliced           

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  In Dutch oven or 12-inch skillet cook sausages (cut into 1/2-inch slices) in oil until brown; remove sausage.  Add chicken and brown; drain.  Add sausage to chicken.  Add water, garlic, bouillon, salt, pepper and basil. Cover and bake 45 minutes.  Add onions, green peppers and tomatoes. Cover and bake until peppers are crisp-tender, 10-15 minutes.
