Easy Bake Cheddar Biscuits

1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. sugar  
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt or 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) cold butter, cubed
1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/3 cup cold milk

     Preheat oven to 450 degrees.  Mix flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, sugar and salt in medium size bowl.  Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Stir in Cheddar cheese.  Add milk; stir until mixture forms soft dough. On lightly floured surface, knead 8-10 times or until smooth.  Pat out dough to a 6 inch square.  Cut into 9 squares. Place on greased baking sheet.  Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.  These are really good!
